We rarely see bats through the summer months but starting in September
they return to the cave to hibernate for the winter. It's a lot better
to spend an Ottawa Valley winter where it is 10 C intead of 20 below!
When in the Eganville area take some time to visit the downtown. Take a
stroll into Centennial Park by way of the foot bridge. You can access
this bridge by walking behind the Tourist Information Booth. Visit our
gift shops and grocery stores. There are so many restaurants in
Eganville that some locals affectionatly refer to Eganville as "The
Lunch Stop Capital of the Ottawa Valley."
Every summer we have four Bonnechere Museum Fossil Hunts with a corresponding Fossil Themed Supper at Frisco's Restaurant in Beautiful Dowmtown Eganville with special musical guests each supper.
These are my new friends that I met last summer. They were on their 50th wedding anniversary trip and were returning to the spots they had visited on their honeymoon. What a delight to meet them and what an example to those of us who have been only married for 27 years!
